I had the pleasure of shooting these gorgeous Cornbread Pancakes for Kitchn recently.

I’ll be sure to visit the Silver Dollar in Louisville for some Honky Tonk pancakes.
These are the faces of the New Canaan High School Wrestling Team. These guys work incredibly hard, wrestling is a tough sport. I’ll never forget watching my son in his first match. I was trying to photograph it while squirming out of my skin. A seasoned wrestling Mom nearby assured me that all would be fine, that the medics were standing by with tampon like stoppers for nose bleeds. We had a good laugh and I eventually got more used to photographing the matches. I still squirm sometimes but also get to feel the victory of these boys’ wins and the humility of their losses.
This was one of my favorite recent excursions. The crew at Mayflower Cranberries were so nice and helpful. I was concerned about the possibility of losing three cameras while walking through the bog. They gave me a full wader suit to wear and showed me how to step to avoid the trenches. It was an incredibly foggy day which added to the mystique of it all. The fresh cranberries were amazing to bake with and I highly recommend them!Since I was already up on the Cape, I decided to check out Plymouth and see the Mayflower too.
Most of my friends know that my son is a passionate runner and I have been photographing his meets for a couple of years now. Very early in the season he injured a quad muscle that kept him on the sidelines except for one meet. With injuries hopefully behind him we have been entering in various meets to finish the season. He qualified in a USATF Jr. Olympic State meet last weekend so now we head to Saratoga Springs, NY for the USATF Junior Olympic Championship. I put together this slideshow for the boys end of the season banquet dinner which is a formal affair recognizing their hard work. It’s a bit long since I tried to represent all of the boys at each of the meets. What a great group of hard working guys!
